200g an hour? C’mon that can’t be possible, can it?

You’ve probably seen them on every WoW site out there. Gold guide banners and Buy Gold banners. You also probably already knew that buying gold for WoW is not only unethical, its against Blizzards terms of service. Buying gold guides however, is not, as they are only strategies… you still must earn the gold yourself.

We recently purchased Valkor’s Gold Guide to see what all the Gold Guide fuss is all about, and if its just a big hoax, as we suspected. We were, however, in for a surprise.

Valkor’s gold guide shows you what may seem obvious to the already-rich players. Did you know that you could spend a few hours in the auction house and make a fortune, without setting one foot outside the city? You don’t have to go out farming and racking up gear expenses. Just play the auction house and get richer and richer. This is one of many techniques covered in the book. He gives you a list of items that you can purchase for 1 silver and turn around for 1 gold! All without leaving the AH.

There are specific zones in the game that when worked properly will allow you to gather items as they spawn. Most of the farmers know this. Some of these items values are so high, that you can effectively make about 200G / hour while doing this method. Maps are included in the guide to show you exactly where to go and what paths you should follow.

He shows you where the most common places are to get the highest value cards for the decks. Keep them for yourself or turn them around for big profits. There are also tips about getting infinite primals quick and easy as well as which faction items are extremely high profit.

The guide is kept up-to-date with free update releases. It contains 2.4-specific information and the free 2.5? (next patch) update to all registered users is in the works as we speak. He also promises FREE LIFETIME updates including the next expansion. I was pretty amazed by this.

I’ve only broken the ice on this wonderful guide. It has improved the game for me as a whole, since I’m a big fan of twink (low level rich character) PvP. With essentially infinite gold, I can make twinks quickly for my weekend PvP sessions.

Rating: 9/10

Check out the book. You won’t be disappointed.

WoW Vault has published a very nice guide to jewelcrafting courtesy of one of their writers. Go have a looksee

Introduction

Jewelcrafting is a new profession introduced in the World of Warcraft Burning Crusade expansion. It allows you to create jewelry like rings, necklaces and crowns - items that were previously available in the game only as loot drops and quest rewards. Master jewelcrafters can also learn how to cut gems that enhance certain attributes when socketed into slots on new types of armor.

Getting Started

Like any other profession, you must go to a Journeyman trainer to become an Apprentice Jewelcrafter. There are Journeyman trainers in both Draenei and Blood Elf starting areas (see list of trainers and their locations below). There are no race restrictions on learning the craft, but if you’re starting a new human, dwarf or gnome character (for Alliance), the trainer location makes it harder for you to learn Jewelcrafting at an early age. (NOTE: Remove the last sentence if Blizzard adds trainers in all major cities.)

Here’s a little walk-thru that I wrote on finding the polymorph pig quest and completing it. Not only does it help in large groups where there are multiple mages with poly but he is super duper cute (think Mr. Wiggles folks).

1. fly to azhara
2. go to sanath lim-yo (coord 28, 49)
3. he’s got a blue ? over his head. hit complete quest and portal to top of mountain
(this is the same guy that you get yoru mage trinket from)
4. go into Bear’s Head tower (coord 29, 41) and talk to archmage xylem (he’s near the top) and he’ll give you a quest to kill a lvl 55 non-elite boss in temple of zin-malor
5. get the prasmatic shell and return to archmage xylem
6. he’ll give u a quest Fragmented Magic to polymorph spitelash (any kind will do) and AOE their clones. The shell will automatically gather their essence and store it. You need 50
7. return to archmage and get your polymorph piggy spell

= About 7 gold in profits and your polymorph spell

There are rumors that there is a poly giraffe in the Barrens and of course there is a turtle from ZG. I’ll let you know if I find the giraffe or not.

Who needs 0 to 60 in mere seconds when you can hit 60 levels in 2 days!

While browsing around the various WoW sites, I came across this guide from WoW Guru, claiming to show how to level from 1to 60 in only 2 days. It’s basically a big list of grinding spots, but even if you pumped yourself full of Hunter S. Thompson-quality speed & grind-ed away for 48 hours straight, surely this can’t be possible…can it?

The various comments from players on the guide seem to be divided into whether this is feasible or not; some claim to have done it, other’s claim it’s impossible. All I know is, if it IS possible, then it sure as heck shouldn’t be. I know powergamers will always find a way to beat the clock, as it were, but the level cap should not be able to be attained in just 2 days. Or should it? What do you all think?

WoWVault offers up their latest in strategy guides, this time aimed at BRD.

Resident writer and super friend, Trinity Divine, has completed an amazing and comprehensive guide for WoW Vault. This one is a must check out!

Blackrock Mountain, which sits on the border of Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes in northern Azeroth, is home to two instanced dungeons: Blackrock Depths (commonly abbreviated to “BRD”) and Blackrock Spire (or “BRS”). The huge city inside the bowels of the mountain was originally constructed by the orc Blackrock clan but it has since been taken over by Emperor Thaurissan, who summoned the
elemental firelord Ragnaros to help him control the Dark Iron dwarves in an effort to win a civil war. There are entrances to the fortress from both the northeastern part of Searing Gorge, as well as the western end of Burning Steppes.

BRD is the lower of the two instances in Blackrock Mountain, and is listed as a level 48-55 dungeon. However, not a lot of teams will consider taking you with them
unless you are over 50. Of course it all depends on which areas of BRD you will be venturing into, since the level of difficulty varies greatly within the instance. Unless you have level 60 friends who wouldn’t mind “running you through” BRD, I would recommend waiting until you are in your mid-fifties. At that point, you should be
eligible for all the BRD quests so you won’t have any “gray exclamation point” problems.
