Due to the insistence of Chris Metzen and the general consensus of the Blizzard creative department, in patch 2.2 we will be going back to the original lore of Warcraft. Night Elf males will only be allowed to play druids as per the previous lore.

They are offering a free trial to the latest expansion for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. The Trial is open to both current and former WoW subscribers.

During your 10-day trial period, you can explore Outland, try your hand at the new jewelcrafting profession, and create blood elf and draenei characters, which you’ll be able to keep if and when you decide to upgrade to the full version of the expansion. Oh how I agree with this article. This is one of the reasons I have quit playing atm (the other being Anthony since he is becoming a moving terror). I eagerly awaited BC only for it to take forever. It gave me breathing room to step back from the game and realize there are other things that can fill my time just as well. I miss the game but more for the social interaction with all my friends than for the not-really-new content.

With the release of The Burning Crusades, players have been forced to do monthly grinds or buy from illegal gold selling sites for a rare flying mount, one of the most expensive items in World of Warcraft. This may be the most desperate attempt to attain that goal ever. (Maybe NSFW.)

Blizzard is reporting they are aware of an login issue that popped up. Tseric from Blizzard shared this…

We have uncovered an issue in the current beta version that we are unable to resolve at this time. This issue will be fixed in the next client patch.

Players who have logged out using /quit may have difficulty moving upon re-entering the game. We have methods by which players can work around this issue:

• When logging out with /quit, letting the exit timer run out completely will prevent the issue.
• Relogging and letting the timer run out will also correct the matter.

Do you have to be 70 to get the basic flying mount, or only 60?

You have to be lvl 70.

I’ve been told flying mounts are now purchaseable in Beta. Is it true that getting up to 150 skill (epic land mount skill) is necessary for a flying mount?

Don’t worry about the skill needed - just like any other riding skill it’s something you buy, and start saving your gold because the fastest mount will cost 5.000 gold.

Holy Cow Gang! Better start farming in your spare time now so you can hang with the big guys.

Blizzard announces more info on the upcoming content patch…
