WoW Moviewatch: Brokeback Spire

Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Let the Brokeback Mountain parodies begin… Not the most skillfully made of films but fun nonetheless.

The male Draenai dance has finally been identified.

The dance debuted two days ago with the unveiling of The Burning Crusade

the tourist movie to watch

.  Since then WoW fans have been all ablaze trying to identify the origins of moves like these.  The dance itself can be seen, at least in part, in this Youtube video right from the E3 floor.

Here at WorldofWar.Net, we’ve spared no expense in researching the source of these disturbing yet fascinating dance moves.  As it turns out they are the genius of India’s musical star, Daler Mehndi.  His original video can be found here.

Funeral Crashing Hits WoW

This seven-minute video by WoW alliance guild “Serenity Now” documents an act of extreme griefing. In the video, members of the guild crash a solemn funeral event in which members of a rival guild were paying respects to the avatar of a guild member that had recently died of a stroke.

Result: many hurt feelings, best summarized in the quote that leads this article.

World of Warcraft, Shadowbane, Everquest, The Sims Online, Ultima Online, Anarchy Online, you name it, there’s one word that unites all players of massively multiplayer games: drama.

No matter what the game, players will find a way to create conflicts that transcend the usual (and trite) Orc vs. Human or Mage vs. Warrior conflict that’s been baked into the games by designers.

See the video.

Thanks Wardawg for finding this for me to post! Our little AQ 20 group is moving fast and furious and its now time for this:

Ossirian the Unscarred is a boss in the Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj.

Strategy

The Pull

Rogues are pretty much useless in this fight, therefore use a rogue to pull the boss to the middle of the room. The rogue should be mounted, bodypull the boss, then head back to the middle and look for a crystal that will spawn. Two crystals will be spawned at all times throughout the room. After about 2 seconds, the boss will buff himself; with the buff he can hit you for 13K damage, also when buffed, Ossirian moves pretty fast, faster than walking speed. When Ossirian is about 20 yards to the crystal, have a designated person click on the crystal to activate it. Note, the Main Tank should not aggro Ossirian until after the crystal puts the debuff on him, otherwise the MT will be one-shotted to death.

Activating the Crystals

Activating the crystal will put a 30 45 second debuff on Ossirian that makes him hit for only 1K or so, less than than the normal 13K, and puts a vulnerability on him for specific spell damages (he can have more than one on at a time). Make sure you are paying attention to the debuff slots so you can see what he is vulnerable to. You will then have about 30 seconds to pull Ossirian to the next crystal before his debuff runs out and one-shots the Main Tank. The crystal has a slight casting time, so don’t wait until the last second.
