World of Warcraft : Burning Crusade Free Trial

I think Blizz feels like it is losing some of the mountains of moola that used to flow it’s way every month because people are quiting left and right. Want to give it a shot and see how you feel? They are offering a free trial to the latest expansion for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. The Trial is open to both current and former WoW subscribers.
During your 10-day trial period, you can explore Outland, try your hand at the new jewelcrafting profession, and create blood elf and draenei characters, which you’ll be able to keep if and when you decide to upgrade to the full version of the expansion. Please note that a full version of World of Warcraft must be present on your computer prior to installing the Burning Crusade trial.
Although this is pure promoting on their part (their one liner below not mine) I figured I’d include it since I do like the signature concept. Enjoy!

Why Blizzard is Stifling its Players

Oh how I agree with this article. This is one of the reasons I have quit playing atm (the other being Anthony since he is becoming a moving terror). I eagerly awaited BC only for it to take forever. It gave me breathing room to step back from the game and realize there are other things that can fill my time just as well. I miss the game but more for the social interaction with all my friends than for the not-really-new content.

Study shows that playing an MOG makes chicks hotter

O jeez! i could have saved them a ton of $$ and done the study for them just based off my mostly male guild. Throw in a little talking on vent (or team speak) and you become a goddess!
A recent study completed by sociologists at Florida State University has shown that average or unattractive women tend to become “totally hot†in the eyes of male gamers when they sit down at the keyboard and start playing in an online game. The study focused on the interaction of males with these females in an online setting such as WoW.
Warning this may upset some of the WoW nazi’s….
