Blizzard has just unleashed a new Beta patch for the BC simply labeled the v2.0 Client Beta patch. Unfortunately they don’t put patch notes in the download so we’ll have to wait and see what’s there.

A player was wondering about teleporting in The Burning Crusade. It was stated the Warrlock summons and hearthstones work the same as they do now, while the Mage can learn to teleport. With that, Nethaera from Blizzard, added…

Mages have a teleport available for Shattrath. Otherwise, it’s probably a good idea to set your hearthstone for Shattrath since there are portals there for every major city available for players to use.

Most people will probably set their hearthstone for Shattrath and then fly there to use the portal and hearth back from Azeroth. That’s what I have done before and it works extremely well.

I haven’t heard/read anything about the bank in the expansion. Are there
more slots, bag slots, price for bag slots? Speaking of bags are there more
18+ slot bags that you’ve found? Almost everyone I know is already filled
to the brim!

There’s one more bank bag slot, and the cost for purchasing new slots caps out at 25, which is a welcome change. Tailors can buy the recipe for “Imbued Netherweave Bags” from a trainer in Shattrath, which are craftable 18-slot bags.

WarCry has 100 beta keys for the Burning Crusade and will be giving them out soon. So keep an eye out here or on their site for more information.

Eyonix from Blizzard wanted to clear up a few things in regards to the next patch…

I want to alleviate this confusion once and for all. Below, I’ve done my best to address every character of every word in your post:

We plan to release a content patch before the end of the year.

This patch will include the new Honor system and talents, among other things (additional details to come).

This patch will likely not be tagged as 1.13, however, we’ve not yet revealed a version # or patch name. Please be patient, as these details will also be available soon.

This patch was originally slated to release just before the game launched, however, due to the delay a larger gap exists between the two.

We are not Game Masters.

Those who wish to will always find fault with our messaging, despite the message itself. That is why some, rather than the no one you proclaim will often dismiss our credibility. Most players aren’t out to get us, or anyone else. At least that’s what I hang on to everyday…

We do not provide release dates for patch content, as it’s disappointing to many when unforeseen problems prevent us from delivering. Again, we do plan to release sometime before the year ends.

Vaneras from Blizzard wanted to give the heads up about DPS testing…

We are currently in the process of heavy DPS testing with all classes in a wide variety of combat types, situations, gear, and spec to ensure they fall in-line with what we expect of each class and where we want each class to be on the DPS scale. As we progress with the DPS testing there will be changes made that will help adjust classes to where we want them to be, and you may see improvements or nerfs that seem a bit odd. At the very least we want to express that we’re making these adjustments due to involved DPS tests and the changes being made are a direct result of our findings.

The expansion gives us an amazing opportunity to balance all of the classes in one big release, and we’re going to be refining each class until release to make sure we’re making good use of it.

Here is something new that will be coming with the expansion, The Burning Crusade…

We’re pleased to announce that the Burning Crusade expansion will come fully loaded with an all new in-game knowledge base. This easy-to-use information resource will contain extensive details pertaining to all areas of World of Warcraft. We’d like your help in testing out this knowledge base, which can be accessed by clicking on the “Help Request” option (red question mark) located near the “Main Menu” button.

Be sure to submit any bugs that you come across, as well as suggestions that you believe might be useful by using the in-game bug/suggestion option (blue “B” icon) located near the mini-map on the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
