GameSpy has published a pretty good article to summarize the latest patch entitled, World of Warcraft - The 1.12 Patch Aftermath. Go check it out…
The 1.12 patch seemed to come as a surprise to many players, but even with the small patch size, servers were down extra long, as Blizzard extended maintenance time from 11AM PST to well into the afternoon. Some servers were still waiting to go live as late as 4PM PST or later, creating almost 24 hours of downtime for some players. Problems persisted on many servers, with general lagginess a common complaint, and Blizzard eventually instituted rolling restarts for realms on Wednesday.

Well its been a few months of work, but ImageGrotto beta is finally live. If you need your images hosted, ImageGrotto is the place to go. You can upload many different image formats, including TGA which is WoW’s native hard-to-read format. The site will automatically convert them to JPGs for you so they show properly in browsers.
A unique feature of ImageGrotto is the ability to upload a zip of images. Just zip em up and upload the zip, and it will figure out what to do with the pictures and convert them on the fly.
Next on the plate is themes, from Warcraft to simple photography themes, we’d like to let you choose quickly and easily.
In the near future after that is an AJAX method of adding comments to your uploaded collections.
Enjoy!

After months of rigorous testing from the WoW player populace, the brand new (and pretty damn nice, I might add) Official forums are up and running! Here’s a glance at some of the new features:
- Updated Character Avatars
- Displayed Talent Builds
- Easier Navigation and Menus
- Increased Signature Space
- Honor Rank Display
The best new feature in my opinion? There’s now an ignore function, allowing you to block out that pesky troll who’s made it his mission to argue and combat every point you attempt to make there.Check ‘em out!

Another new creature from the Burning Crusade has been added to the bestiary. This time we’re introduced to the Naaru.
When Sargeras descended upon the eredar’s homeworld, a race of sentient energy beings – the naaru – helped a small band of eredar to escape the dark titan’s corruption.

Blizzard wanted to get out to us a little clarification regarding the Warlock’s Life Tap…
There were some questions about what is calculated first; bonus from Improved Life Tap, or +damage, so here you go: The effects from The Felheart and Plagueheart sets and from the Improved Life Tap talent are all applied AFTER spell damage has been calculated. No other talents or set bonuses have any effect on the calculation.
Another question was whether Life Tap is supposed to consume a charge from the Zandalarian Hero Charm: Life Tap benefits from and uses charges of the Zandalarian Hero Charm as well as the Talisman of Ascendance.
