If you are having problems logging into WoW, Drysc offers this as a possible reason:

Earlier this evening we were able to resolve an authentication issue which was not allowing account password changes to update properly. Since this issue was resolved we have found that some users accounts may have their Parental Controls either turned on, or changed, which may be blocking their ability to log in. We are currently still researching the cause for this change and we will provide further information as soon as it is available.

If you are unable to log in due to an error stating that your password or account name is wrong please first visit the Account Management page (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/) and change your password. Attempt to log in again using the new password you set.

If this does not allow you to log in properly you may need to temporarily disable your Parental Controls. Please visit the Account Management page (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/) and click on the Parental Controls icon/link. Select the ‘Deactivate’ box, and click ‘Submit Schedule’. The Parental Control changes may take up to 30 minutes to take effect.
