Spiritwalk posted this guide on the WoW Forums for all you PvPers out there.
Anti-Turtle Guide v1.0
================
Welcome to my FAQ about Anti-Turtling. This guide will help you against those people that decide that the best way to win is to send only 1-2 people out while the rest decide to stay and buff their defense inside the flagroom in Warsong Gulch. Note that I will do this FAQ on both Factions. I will do my best, since this IS my first guide after all.

FAQ
=========================
Q: What is turtling?
A: Turtling is when one faction decides to go into a full defense strategy. 8 to 9 members staying around base, beefing its defenses and making it hard to impossible to break through. (If they constantly keep the defenses in check). This is NOT against Blizzard’s PvP policy. I personally consider this an act of desparation. Its both stupid and dishonorable in my opinion.
Q: How can we go against such a force?
A: The Turtling force is indeed a formidable opponent. But like most forts, they crumble and fall after damage has struck them. In other words, a good course of action and planning is what it takes to win in Warsong Gulch. Don’t give up!
Q: What if my side considers turtling?
A: Don’t do it! Its simply not worth waiting 1 hour just to capture the flag. And farming for honor is just stupid.

THE HORDE SIDE
=========================
So the Alliance have barracaded themselves in their base and its up to the Horde to take’em out and take the flag home? Then this part of my FAQ guide is for you.
If no one has the flag….
======================
First off, have at least 1-3 on flag defense. It shouldn’t be no problem if you have a snagger (shamans, shadow specced priest, etc.). The rest? Assault the base. Give’em hell. But do it strategically. Have priests use Psychic Scream, mages use frost nova, thus scattering everyone. The worst thing you need to worry about are rogues and the Freeze Trap (Frost Trap is alot worse if your group is crowded, you might want to take rampside to attack from both sides, a pincer attack this is called.). Shamans should drop an Earthbind totem. I would suggest a Tremor totem if you know a priest/warlock will fear the flag grabber. Then when the flag is grabbed, protect him/her at all costs! Have a priest bubble/renew. Have the snaggers frost nova/psychic scream/fear to keep them in line. Keep this up and eventually you’ll cap the flag. But keep your heads up since they might retaliate full force and zerg for the Horde flag.
If both sides get the flag…
======================
If your flag defense failed to get the flag, and if you managed to get the flag. Its up to you to get it back. If you have a hunter, this should be easy as cake. Track Humanoids! If you don’t have a hunter, then this could be a looong tedious task. Usually the Alliance will send groups of 2-5 to try to get their flag back. So keep a nice defense going while a rogue or a druid in prowl looks around for the flag. If you find the flag, WARN OTHERS FIRST. Let them know where it is. Its most likely they have another shadowmelded night elf waiting. But attack if you are sure they are alone (most likely not). Its most likely that the highest level will have the flag. A warrior, druid (bear form), or a paladin.

THE ALLIANCE SIDE
=============================
So the mean ol’ Horde has locked down their base and its up to the Alliance to save the day? Then this part of the FAQ guide is for you.
If no one has the flag…
======================
Since I know the Alliance turns in more Nightelf hunters and more Gnome mages the anything else, this should be easy for you guys. However your biggest problem would be a shaman with its Earthbind totem. If their shamans are smart (heck if they’re all smart in general), then you will have a hard time trying to get the flag. My suggestion is just to AoE them with Frost nova and Psychic Scream, Polymorph, and all the other snags that stall them. Poly the shamans, since they are really your biggest threat. Grab the flag and get the hell out of there. Keep them snagged and you’ll eventually be home free. Flash heal if needed on the flag carrier.
If both sides have the flag….
======================
There has never been a fight I’ve been in Warsong Gulch that didn’t have a hunter. Finding the player with the flag should be easy, however its most likely they’re sending people after their flag and having the rest to defend the flag. If you don’t have a hunter, its most likely they are hiding under the big saw behind the Horde graveyard. Unlike the Horde, the Alliance has more hiding spaces.
==================================
Tips that I’ve tested…
1) /target the flag carrier and get close to them. If the numbers light up on your abilities, they are close by. If you’re an engineer, I believe you can target them with a combat pet then send it on them. Though I am not sure on this particular part.
2) Berserk chests is for Warriors, Enchant spec. shamans, rogues, and druids in bear form. Not for other classes. I don’t know WHY I see a priest using it.
3) Save the restore chests (in the house to the right of the entrance of your base. This is for either side.) when you’re low on mana/health. They save your life. If you see enemy trying to go for them, grab them first and then kill them. Cutting supplies in war can turn the tide in a fight.
