Warcraft Experience

We ended our raid early on Thursday night and stopped after Magmadar so we had a few more bosses to clear than normal tonite. We tried to go to SW and turn in the Onyxia head but someone else had already done so. We were a bit disappointed but it certainly isn’t the end of the world.

Almost immediately we started getting drops so boo-yah! A molten destroyer dropped the [item]Giantstalker’s Bracers[/item] which went to Garand for trading with other guilds. (BTW if you have Tier 1 BOE set pieces and are on the Blackhand server, visit our forums and PM Garand. We might have something you need and vice versa.)

Ok so anywho…. Gehennas was the first to die and yielded the [item]Gloves of Prophecy[/item] which went to greed roll and Daalny won that. The [item]Wristguards of Stability[/item] also went to greed roll and Trubben won that. Both items were DE’d for a nexus crystal by Funktea. Woot.

Garr was a bit of a pain since the Garr Mod wasn’t working (due to the 1.9 patch) and we had to rely on CT Mod. The CT Mod targetting system isn’t too terrible but when you aren’t used to it, it takes awhile to get everyone set up and targetting a mob that no-one else is. O well you live and learn. Smokinjoe won the [item]Flameguard Gauntlets[/item] with a 92. Next up was the [item]Giantstalker’s Helmet[/item] which went to a greed roll and was won by Kyjethu with a 95. Nexus crystal FTW. Finally the [item]Nightslayer Cover[/item] dropped and Wendra won by default (he rolled a 93 anyway…should have saved it man) and now has all 8 of his set pieces! YEA! That makes 3 alliance members – all LM – that have their sets.

A Lava Elemental dropped the [item]Nightslayer Belt[/item] which went to Garand for the trading bank. That makes two BOEs in one night to trade, so be sure to look us up if you need anything! (shameless plug for our tradeable loot)

Baron Geddon dropped the [item]Arcanist Mantle[/item] which Carnilion won with a 34 (woot that hasn’t dropped in awhile) and the [item]Lawbringer Spaulders[/item] that Alahn won with a 18.

Shazzrah dropped more Gianstalker. Suprise, suprise. Schnitzel actually needed the [item]Giantstalker’s Gloves[/item] and won a 93. The [item]Boots of Prophecy[/item] also dropped and Phifer won those with a 71.

Next up – Sulfuron. Kurosawa won the [item]Giantstalker’s Epaulets[/item] with a 17 and Badfun won the [item]Salamander Scale Pants[/item] with a 84.

Golemagg! He dropped the [item]Lawbringer Chestguard[/item] which Ahnvil won with a 88, the [item]Robes of Prophecy[/item] that XAnthony won with a 88 and Quisver won the [item]Azuresong Mageblade[/item]. GIVE ME MY STAFF DANG YOU! A [item]Sulfuron Ingot[/item] also dropped and went to Galvar for the bank.

I was so excited to talk about Ragnaros that I almost forgot about Majordomo. LOL. Chriara won the [item]Fireproof cloak[/item] with an uber high roll of 99 (she beat my roll of 97 ), Daalny won another purple ring (this time the [item]Cauterizing Band[/item]) with a 80 and Bahouth received the [item]Ancient Petrified Leaf[/item].

On our way back out a Firelord dropped the [item]Lawbringer Belt[/item] which Galvar won with a 31 and another Firelord dropped the [item]Bracers of Might[/item], which went to Garand for trading.

We fought our way out of MC, ported to SW, turned in the [item]Head of Onyxia[/item] and headed back to MC to kill Ragnaros. Poor Babbaganoosh and a couple of others died and lost their buff on a Lava Surger. High latency, CT Mod lag and MC graphics contributed to those deaths.

We went over our 10pm cut-off time and tried our hardest to kill Rags. We popped every pot, food buff, etc that we could and did significantly better each time. Our first attempt we got him down to ~ 45%, the 2nd attempt 15% and the 3rd and final attempt 1%! Yes 1%!! We had about 20 min left on the timer before he submerged so I ran back to MC, rezzed and portaled to IF loaded with money from Ahnvil and Aveliana (they donated 100g each) to buy [item]greater fire protection potion[/item]s, [item]major healing potion[/item]s and [item]major mana potion[/item]s. Just as I was done and getting ready to ask Aveliana for a summons, Burthona called the raid.

I’m kinda glad cause I hated paying those buyout prices, even if it wasn’t my money. After the raid was called I went back to the AH and continued my shopping and bid on a ton more stuff. I’m gonna log on later today and see how it went. Those of us that were still on and awake went farming for mats for various pots, buffs, etc for our attempt tonite. We were going to do BWL but it has been pushed out a week in favor of killing Ragnaros. I can’t wait to see that phat loot we get! You’re goin down Rags!
