Warcraft Experience

On Wednesday night we did an all-night MC marathon in honor of Thanksgiving. Thanks to everyone that stuck it out! Since we normally run on Thursdays, the MC timer wasn’t up until 7:37p on Wednesday night, so we started later than we liked but at least it gave us time to get water to put out the flames.

Babbaganoosh was out in Azshara and saw Azuregoes was up still (he logged on earlier in the day to get the water and the dragon was up then), so he was our look out. We gathered up a crew, sent calls for people in guild and lmrbo chat and portaled our way to Darnassas. Of course we were too late because the 2 major Alliance guilds on Blackhand were already there. We haven’t figured out how they always seem to know Azuregoes is up. Sucky! We continued out there anyway in hopes that they would wipe and give us a shot. And Avanta Corda went first, got Azuregoes to around 10% and wiped, so Nephilium picked it up and took her down. Dang it! When is our turn?! At least it wasn’t a total loss since we could all get our MC water to put out the runes.

Since I already had 20 people together I finished putting the raid group together for MC. First time I ever got to play leader for that. Hurtu still had the Onyxia head from Monday (we had decided on Monday we’d wait to turn it in until MC) so we portaled to Stormwind and gathered in the front to watch the head go up. Poor Hurtu though! He went to the King and as he was about to turn the head in, someone else did And 2 Onyxia heads can’t be up at the same time. Not only did he not get the buff for some crazy reason but he didn’t get to turn in the head, so he didn’t get to get his quest reward either.

Buff in hand we busted ass to get to MC. No sense in wasting those cool stats. I gave Smokinjoe masterlooter, no way in hell I want to deal with that. I don’t want to accidentally give it away to someone else. And Smokin and Aveliana were going to run this raid group since Burthona was out of town for Thanksgiving and Babbaganoosh was going to be in NY, but a last minute change of plans kept him here. So Babba, Smokin and I led the group. Poor Aveliana had a hell of a time connecting and then had to drop before we even started. Cox cable was apparently doing something in her area and screwed up her lines.

We had an awesome run and go me and my awesome leader seed! Off the first fire mob the [item]Nightslayer Bracelets[/item] dropped and Varlok won with a 78. The raid group was worse than 5-year olds at Christmas though. Giddy could not describe how we were acting.

Lucifron
- The tranq shot tome went to /random again. Really wish that wasn’t BOP. We could put it in the alliance bank until someone could use it.
- [item]Lawbringer boots[/item]. Check this generosity out! Barrex won with a 97 but since Theseus (rolled a 28) was the only paly without purple boots he gave it to him.
- [item]Gauntlets of Might[/item] went to Druela with a 19. The only two warriors that didn’t have them, have existing purple gloves but since they were bought our raid loot rules don’t apply and they could roll.

54 minutes later we were staring at everyone’s favorite puppy - Magmadar
- [item]Legplates of Might[/item] dropped and Aierestian won but since Mynn normally doesn’t get to run with us Thursdays and therefore won’t get to roll on the legplates in the future, Aierestian (sweetheart right there) gave them to Mynn. <3 to them both.
- [item]Nightslayer pants[/item] dropped and Kyjethu won with a 86.
- [item]Aged core leather gloves[/item] were won by Moonwinna with a 92 but again the giddy spirits came out and she removed her roll in favor of Varlok and his 41.

A quick portal back to IF for a repair, more reagents, bio break and a trip back to MC.
** Note: We do this everytime since there is no reason to waste a repair bot and it is NOT a good idea to try to fight your way back. Pops are unpredictable and we wiped the one time we actually tried it.

Gehennas
- Dosia won the [item]Gloves of Prophecy[/item] with a 14 and
- Garand walked off with the [item]Salamandar Scale Pants[/item] with an oooo so impressive roll of 18.

Garr
- Mez won the [item]Nightslayer Cover[/item] (ever dressing roomed that?) with a default win (all other rogues already had something). He tossed the dice anyway and rolled a 45.
- Garand won the [item]Cenarion Helm[/item] with a 21 and
- Wendra’s impressive roll of a 45 won him the [item]Brutality Blade[/item].

Baron Geddon really lights our fire! (ok so it was cheesy)
- Tasmpriest won the Seal of the Archmagus ring with a 96 (I won that last week and really like it.)
- Bolicious won the Mana Igniting Cord belt with a 99. I didn’t roll against him bc our rules state you can’t replace a purple with a purple. But I forgot the mages all have their belts which allowed me to roll. Dammmmmmmmmn. Not that I would have won against a 99. (Side note: he says it really helps his spells out so you know who will be rolling next time.)
- The Pattern: Flarecore Wraps dropped (I won this pattern early on in our runs) and Grianna and Carnilion tied each other with a 94. Nerve racking! A roll off insued and Grianna won with a 39.

Badfun won the Cenarion Belt with a 88, which was dropped from a Lava Elemental. Told you my seed was a good one

Shazzarah
- Giantstalkers gloves went to Gerty with a 68 and
- Lorick won the Boots of Prophecy with a 95.

Mynn was going to abandon us after this pull and since we need the warriors we pulled Sulfuron first. Normally we go down to Golemagg and then back.

Sulfuron
- [item]Giantstalker’s Epaulets[/item] went home with Jadzia (rolled a 75) and
- Varlok beefed up his shoulders with the [item]Nightslayer Shoulder Pads[/item], which he won with a 73.

Of course, after this pull Mynn and his dad (he was in for the holiday and plays a Horde character so he wanted to watch) decided to stick the last 2 bosses out. WOOT!

Golemagg
- Dropped the [item]Cenarion Vestments[/item] which Moonwinna won with a 43
- Farkhat won the [item]Staff of Dominance[/item] with a 96! (I really want that and will eventually get it. Babbaganoosh and Aveliana have it also. What the hell is with the Warlocks winning it every time.)
- AND…..drum roll….. I finally won the [item]Arcanist Robes[/item] with a 87! WOOOOOOT! Only the head piece to go and Funktea will be stylin something fierce.

Majordomo wiped us on the first try. It was sooo close. We had the last healer down to some god awfully low amount like 5% but the remaining raid members were quickly led to their deaths. The raid was geared for an easy victory the second time, even with some of falling asleep in our chairs (no I wasn’t one of them. I was on a adreneline and coffee high. It was around 1am EST by then) and we took all the adds down easily the second time.
- Rapunzel and Chriara tied with a 90 for [item]the Eye of Divinity[/item], but Chriara walked off with it in the end with a re-roll victory of 82.
- [item]Sash of Wispered Secrets[/item] dropped and went to Devliana with his impressive win of a 79.
- [item]Finkles Lava Dredger[/item] was won by Badfun with a 97 and more than likely broke Theseus’ heart since he rolled a 95.

Total timer: 4 hours and 50 minutes. WOOOT!
